Forget me Knot week

Forget Me Knot Week is a national awareness week which aims to highlight the importance of gifts left to charities in wills.

Organised by Remember a Charity and involving over 130 charities, people are being asked to visit their website and tie a virtual ‘forget me knot,’ while considering gifts in wills. You can also tie a virtual knot on the NSPCC website, or you may have received a piece of yellow string to your desk.

How important are gifts in wills to the NSPCC?

Hugely important. Money received from gifts in wills is a major contributor of income for the NSPCC. Last year, the NSPCC received £20.5 million through gifts in wills, helping enable our vital services for children to continue.

How can I help raise awareness of gifts in wills?

This week gives NSPCC colleagues the perfect opportunity to talk to others about the importance of gifts in wills and the difference they can make to the future of so many children.

If you have any questions about how to have these conversations, or for more information about leaving gifts in will, please contact Jacqueline Gunn from the legacy team on 0207 825 2939.
