Liverpool challenged to show generosity
Liverpudlians have long been world-renowned for their friendly, warm-hearted nature, exceptional generosity and willingness to help those in need.
Now, World Vision is putting this reputation to the test, launching a city-wide campaign for child sponsors this week.
The organisation is challenging big-hearted Scousers to earn the title of the most generous city in the UK by sponsoring a child for just 60p a day in Banja, an impoverished area in the North-West of Ethiopia, during their month-long campaign in the city.
By sponsoring a child, people in Liverpool are able to support long-term development programmes, which can make a real and lasting difference to children, their families and communities overseas.
Sponsorship enables World Vision to work in partnership with communities to help them improve their quality of life, providing the essentials in life.
The sponsored child benefits, as the whole community is able to take action.
